  1. If you are launching AVS from a DOS prompt:

  3. 1a) Open an MSDOS Command Prompt, and change directories to the directory
  4.    where AVSview is installed.
  5.  
  6. 1b) Set the environment variable XP_PATH to the directory where AVSview is
  7.    installed.
  8.  
  9. If you are running AVS from a NT icon:
  10.  
  11. 1) Set XP_PATH to the directory where AVSview is in System found in Control Panel.
  12.  
  13. 2) Run express.
  14.  
  15. 3) Select the "File->Read_Geom" menu item. The AVS "*.geo" geometry files are 
  16.    located in the "data" directory.
